The Nationwide Audubon Modern society has disclosed the winners of its thirteenth yearly Audubon Images Awards. The highlighted images show the magnificence of birds and the pleasure of capturing them in their environments by way of pics and films.
This yr, judges awarded eight prizes throughout five divisions from a pool of 2,416 entrants from all 50 states, Washington D.C., and 7 Canadian provinces and territories. The firm says it made the decision to continue to award the Woman Chook Prize and Movie Prize, which had been successfully launched previous year.
The Woman Bird Prize highlights female birds, which are normally ignored and underappreciated in chicken images and conservation. The Movie Prize recognizes the dynamic motion and conduct of birds and the means we watch and memorialize them.
The grand prize winner receives $5,000 and the remaining category winners obtain anywhere involving $1,000 and $2,500 except for the Youth division, whose winner receives six days at the Audubon’s Hog Island Audubon Camp for the duration of the 2023 year.

Grand Prize Photograph
The grand prize image, above, was awarded to photographer Jack Shi from Costa Mesa, California for his picture of a huge, largely white White-tailed Kite as it hovers mid-air with its wings and tail feather unfold extensive.
